For a Declaration of Law based on sufficient assets, there are two types of sufficient assets to distinguish if you have Dutch or American nationality.
- You will receive ANG 1,500 per month from an employer, benefits agency or investments.
- You have a balance of ANG 18,000 on your own bank account.
If you fall under the first category, you need a statement from the paying agency that you will continue to be paid during your stay in Curacao. For the second category, you still need to be able to demonstrate that you have sufficient assets for a number of months.
If you come with several family members, the following standard amounts apply:
For spouse at least ANG 1900 per month. In case of admission of children, the following standard amounts must be demonstrated in addition:
Age 0 to 5 years ANG 300 per child
Age 6 to 11 years ANG 450 per child
Age 12 years and older 650 ANG per child
