Whether you retain your right to a UWV benefit after you move to Curaçao depends on the type of benefit you receive.

The Wajong benefit expires upon emigration to Curaçao, unless you need treatment on the island or, for example, there are more job opportunities on Curaçao than in the Netherlands. In exceptional cases, the Wajong benefit can also be retained if, for example, you need care from your parents who live on Curaçao.

Unemployment benefits expire when you emigrate to Curaçao, so take this into account in terms of income and the type of application you wish to make.

All other UWV benefits continue to apply when you move to Curaçao.
